The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force on the 25th of May 2018 and is the biggest change in data protection law in over 20 years, are you prepared?

Many are still unaware of what's involved, how it affects their business, what to do and the steep fines for non-compliance.

The new GDPR regulation is far more reaching than the current Data Protection Act (DPA). It vastly extends the rights of data subjects as well as imposing many rules surrounding all aspects of data management, systems in which it is stored and the way in which it is processed.

Some of these include increased security of data, how data is collated, how long it is kept and its relevancy, whilst imposing increased responsibility to be able to report data breaches and having systems capable of data protection by design.

The law will affect all companies undertaking B2C & B2B marketing into the EU and the need to comply will not be affected by Brexit.
